warsaw
This will be the first post about a location. But don't worry I still have something to say about why I have so many lenses...
The first picture is a glass roof over a historic inner courtyard at a Warsaw university building. I was there for a conference. And I had a new lens. The angle of view was 100° instead of 83°, which was my widest before. Especially with architecture that's very helpful. There wouldn't have been a way to move further away from the roof, as I was already on the ground floor.

Same with this church. I was against the wall on the other side of the street. Very difficult to take this picture without a wide lens like the one I had just gotten.

But as this is about my visit in Warsaw I don't only have pictures of architecture. This powerfully red flower was part of an ornament on the foot of the keynote speakers lectern.

In front of the conference venue I discovered a sparrow. I didn't have my big zoom lens on, so not maximum detail. But maybe that's actually a good thing: the autumn leaves in bright golden late morning sunlight, some in foreground blur, some sharp, some in the background. It gives extra depths.
Not the last sparrow you'll see here. They are everywhere.
