sunset angles

This post is going to be about one sunset. I took photos of it at three different focal lengths. The title and, I feel, the strongest of the three pictures is at the middle focal length (or angle of view), though already quite long. Not a bad thing though since it reveals some sharper "foreground clouds", the subject of this photo. All the while, much smoother clouds form the sunset background.

The very wide shot with aggressive orange-purple shading and a dark landscape sprinkled with lights from houses. Captured about 20 min before the title shot.

At the other extreme, the angle of view is so small, the picture so zoomed in, that the sunset sinks into fuzzy abstraction.
