sunset

I had a rooftop flat. View from the balcony: beautiful. Summer heat: unbearable. Still, when the sun paints the sky with dramatic colors, I sometimes miss just stepping out and capturing the scene.

While the title sunset is my favorite to this day, the second one actually has the sun and beautiful rays in it. It was one of the first pictures I printed "large" (A4) and taught me an important lesson: The dark emerald trees are essential to this photo, but without careful editing they get easily crushed to black in print.
