pinnacle daisy

In early spring 2024 I was looking for good ideas for macro pictures. Outside was cold and devoid of flowers or insects. So I bought a daisy in the hardware store. It had freakishly large flowers for a daisy, about 5 cm in diameter. I had seen some interesting pictures with water droplets on flowers, so I sprayed it. I used flash and a white piece of cloth to spread light over the plant. The result still impresses me today.

This blog marks an interesting point. I have arrived at the first picture in a category, in this case flowers, which I'm not sure I'll ever be able to surpass. It is, at least currently, the pinnacle of what I have achieved in this regard.

This second picture gives an overview of how the flower looked at more "normal" magnifications. I now have some dedicated backgrounds for this kind of photography, which would have helped this picture for sure. So, maybe there is a chance for a new pinnacle flower photo. But not for while. I can barely edit as fast as I take photos.
