The American robin is bigger than its European counterpart. It's also more often on the ground instead of on top of trees and bushes. Especially in the parks in Toronto and the Toronto Islands that made some nice photos possible. This one is my favorite for its combination of green grass, red-orange belly, yellow beak and blue sky.

I also like this one. Especially, the pose: the bird makes clear eye contact and lowers its wing tips.
